This course combines GWO Advanced Rescue and GWO Enhanced First Aid refresh training, It is set out to refresh skills for individuals to perform entry-type injured person rescue operations and enable individuals to administer safe, effective and immediate lifesaving treatment.

COMBINED GWO ADVANCED RESCUE REFRESHER (ART) & ENHANCED FIRST AID REFRESHER (EFA) COURSE OVERVIEW

The GWO Advanced Rescue ART Combined ART Training Standard was developed in response to the demand for recognisable Advanced Rescue Training in the industry, and has been prepared in co-operation between the members of the Global Wind Organisation based on risk assessments and factual incident and accident statistics pertaining to the installation, service and maintenance of wind turbine generators and wind power plants.

GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFAR) Refresher is part of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) course portfolio, which sets the standard for training in the global wind and renewable energy industry.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES GWO ADVANCED RESCUE REFRESHER (ART) & ENHANCED FIRST AID REFRESHER (EFA) COURSE

The ART modules shall enable delegates to perform entry-type injured person rescue operations, in a WTG, using industry standard rescue equipment, rescue methods and techniques, exceeding those of GWO Working at Height.

The aim of this GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFAR) Refresher Module is to review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills from BST First Aid or to refresh current EFA skills through theoretical and practical training so that delegates can administer safe and effective Enhanced First Aid in the wind industry.

PREREQUISITES

• Must have a valid and in date GWO Enhanced First Aid, GWO Advanced Rescue, GWO Working at Height and GWO Manual Handling Certificates
• You must be aged 18 years or above and be registered with WINDA before you arrive for your course.
• A good standard of general fitness is required, you will also need to complete a medical questionnaire.
